All sex offenders in Tennessee are required to register.  A sex offender is defined as an individual who has been convicted of a sex crime in Tennessee or another state. 

A sex offense in Tennessee is any of the following:

• Aggravated rape
• Rape
• Sexual Battery
• Aggravated sexual battery
• Sexual battery by an authority figure
• Statutory rape
• Aggravated prostitution
• Especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
• Aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor
• Sexual exploitation of a minor
• Incest
• False imprisonment of a minor
• Especially aggravated kidnapping of a minor, except when committed by a parent
• Rape of a minor
• Solicitation of a minor
• Attempt, solicitation or conspiracy to commit any of the above offenses
