When registering, sex offenders must provide all "secondary" addresses, where the person may live temporarily while in the state. If a person has a permanent address in another state but a secondary address in Massachusetts, they are required to register in Massachusetts as well. All sex offenders are required to register within 2 days of moving into the state from another jurisdiction. Sex offenders who do not live in Massachusetts, but work in the state, are required to register within 3 days of starting the job. Sex offenders who are residing in locations outside of Massachusetts, but who are enrolled in any school in the state, must register within 10 days of attending the school.
