The site is provided to alert he public to individuals who are sex offenders living in your area. The information that is provided is based on the last information received by the offender. The Department is unable to guarantee the accuracy of information and registrants may have not moved without notifying the department as required by the state.

The following individuals are required to register with the Maryland Sex Offender Registry:

Child sex offenders
Offenders
Sexually violent offenders
Sexually violent predators
Child sexual offender, who was required to register in another state.
Offender, sexually violent offender or sexually violent predator who is required to register in another state, who is not a Maryland resident, and who enters Maryland to:
- Carry on employment
- Attend public or private school.

Sex offenders must register upon release, being granted probation or being granted a suspended sentence.

Registrants must include:

Names and aliases
Address
Social Security Number
Place of employment, if they work but do not live in Maryland.
Information on the school the offender plans on attending.
Description of the offense.
Date of conviction.
Jurisdiction of conviction.

If the offender is a sexually violent predator, they must also include:

Identifying factors
Anticipated future residence
Offense history
Documentation of treatment received fro a mental abnormality or personality disorder.
