| The Connecticut General Statutes 54-250 through 54-261 requires the Connecticut Department of Transportation to maintain a registry of offenders who have been convicted of sexual offenses. The Connecticut Dept. of Public Safety updates the information in the registry regularly to try to ensure that all information is updated and correct. However, there are situations in which an offender does not update their information, therefore their information in the registry may be incorrect and the person may be wanted for failing to comply. This list contains only offenders who have been convicted of a sex offense or who have been found not guilty by reason mental disease or defect. | ||||||

Department of Public Safety The State of Connecticut requires any person that is convicted found not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect of the following offenses is required to register with the Connecticut Department of Public Safety:
Only those individuals who were convicted on or after October 1, 1998 are required to register. An offender must register within 3 days of his or her release. The offender must register with the Commissioner of Public Safety. The information that is gathered includes:
Offenders who have been convicted of a criminal offense against a minor or a nonviolent sexual offense is required to maintain registration for 10 years. If the offender has prior convictions of any similar offense, or if the offender was convicted of sexual intercourse with another person when the person was under 13 years of age and the offender was two years older, then the offender is required to register for life. Offenders who have bee convicted of sexually violent offenses must also register for life. Offenders who are required to register for having committed a felony for a sexual purpose must also maintain registry for 10 years. |
