This site is designed to promote public awareness, as an informed public means that the public is safe. The Arizona Department of Public Safety has designed the website to be compliant with Arizona state law. The Department of Public Safety holds the responsibility for updating the site and verifying the addresses of all sex offenders located in the state of Arizona annually. The site may not contain information on all sex offenders and only provides information for those sex offenders who are considered to be a Level II or Level II threat.

A person who has been convicted of a violation or an attempted violation in Arizona or in another jurisdiction that would have been in violation of the following offenses, must register in the state of Arizona as a sex offender.

Unlawful imprisonment of an individual under the age of 18, if the imprisonment was committed by someone other than the victim's parent.
Kidnapping of a victim under 18, except in parental kidnapping.
Sexual abuse of a victim under 18
Sexual conduct with a minor
Sexual assault
Sexual assault of a spouse
Molestation of a minor
Continuous sexual abuse of a minor
Taking a minor for prostitution.
Child prostitution.
Commercial exploitation of a minor
Luring exploitation of a minor
Second or subsequent violation of indecent exposure with a person under 15
Second or subsequent violation of public sexual indecency to a minor under 15
Third or subsequent violation of indecent exposure
Third or subsequent violation of public sexual indecency

Any person who is sentenced by a judge for a sexual offense or exploitation of a child may be required to register by the judge. The person must register with the county sheriff 10 days after the conviction or within 10 days of entering and remaining in an Arizona county.
